[Citizen activity support project]

While registering and coordinating volunteers with a focus on Japanese language learning support, we are working to develop volunteers through volunteer training and other means. We also aim to promote multicultural coexistence by citizens in collaboration with volunteer groups.

<Volunteer coordination>

With the cooperation of registered volunteers, such as Japanese language learning support, interpretation and translation, we are promoting international exchange and international cooperation projects rooted in the region.

<Community Interpretation/Translation Supporter>

Volunteer interpreters and translators with high language skills and other qualifications will be certified as "Community Interpreters and Translators" and will assist with smooth communication and accurate information transfer with foreign residents in the fields of administrative procedures, education, welfare, medical care, etc. Training will also be provided for these supporters to learn about the code of conduct and interpretation techniques.

<International Exchange Volunteer Leaders Conference>

We will continue to hold the Leaders Conference, which is made up of volunteer interpreters and has been fostered as a commissioned project by Chiba City since 27. The Leaders Conference will share information with groups that independently support foreign residents, conduct case studies, and utilize the resources of each group to further stimulate civic activities.

<Subsidies for activities of international exchange and cooperation groups>

Part of the expenses required for the project is subsidized in order to promote activities to support foreign residents, international cooperation, and international exchange by volunteer groups in the city.

<Support for Chiba City International Fureai Festival>

As the secretariat, we support the "Chiba City International Fureai Festival" held by the "Chiba City International Fureai Festival Management Council", which is composed of international exchange and cooperation organizations that are active in the city.

<Japanese Classroom Network>

We provide various information to provide convenience to foreign citizens who wish to learn Japanese and to support Japanese language classes in the city.
