[Foreign citizen support project]
We provide various support projects such as Japanese language learning support, foreign life counseling / legal counseling, and support for foreign citizens in the event of a disaster so that foreign citizens can live as members of the local community.
<Japanese learning support>
We provide opportunities for one-on-one conversations in Japanese with volunteers (Japanese exchange members) and hold Japanese classes so that foreign citizens can communicate in their daily lives.
<Foreign life consultation / legal consultation>
For consultations on daily life caused by differences in language and customs, we will respond by telephone or at the counter.
We also offer free legal advice from lawyers.
<Foreign Student Exchange Coordinator>
Four international students living in Chiba who attend universities in the city have been appointed as "Chiba City International Student Exchange Coordinators." Through their participation in international exchange programs, they will be nurtured as key members of the international student community who will contribute to the realization of a multicultural society, and scholarships will be provided to help them enrich their studies.
<Support for foreign citizens in the event of a disaster>
In order for Japanese citizens and foreign citizens to cooperate and survive disasters, we are promoting educational activities by participating in disaster prevention drills and holding disaster prevention classes.
