Chiba City holds a food drive as part of reducing food loss (food that is still edible but discarded).
The Chiba City International Association agrees with this initiative and will set up a collection box from 1/12 (Wednesday) to 1/25 (Tuesday) tomorrow.
・ Cereals (rice, noodles, wheat, etc.)
・ Preserved foods (canned foods, bottled foods, etc. that have a specified expiration date and have a shelf life of XNUMX months or more)
・ Instant retort food (things that can be stored at room temperature)
・ Dried fish (glue, beans, etc., unopened)
・ Confectionery (without damage)
・ Beverages (juice, coffee, tea, etc., rice produced in Reiwa XNUMXnd and XNUMXrd years (brown rice is acceptable))
・ Various seasonings, cooking oil (alcohol is not allowed)
・ Gift packs (midyear gifts, year-end gifts, etc.)
The collected food will be donated to welfare facilities and those in need of food through the volunteer group "Food Bank Chiba" in the city.
