Medical system for elder senior citizens
The medical system for the elderly aged 75 and over provides "medical care that supports life" based on the characteristics of the body and the actual conditions of life, and the younger generation provides medical care for those who have contributed to society for many years. It is a system that supports each other with all the people including.
The system will be operated by the "Chiba Prefecture Medical Care for the Elderly Wide Area Union", which all municipalities in the prefecture join.

Participation in the medical system for the elderly
Those who are 75 years old or older (65 years old or older if they have a certain disability) are members (insured) of the medical system for the elderly.
Those over 75 years old are automatically enrolled, so no notification is required.
Persons aged 65 and over with a certain level of disability are required to be certified by a wide-area union upon application.
Those who cannot join the medical system for the elderly
Those who have not created a resident card (those for sightseeing or medical purposes, short-term residents of 3 months or less, diplomats) However, even if the period of stay is 3 months or less, by checking the materials etc. 3 If you are allowed to stay for more than a month, you will be insured.
Disqualification
You will be disqualified if any of the following are true:
- When moving out of Chiba prefecture
* You will be insured by the wide-area union of other prefectures you are moving to.However, if you move your address to a welfare facility or hospital, you will continue to be insured by the Chiba Prefectural Association for the Wide Area of Medical Care for the Elderly. - When you die

Insurance card
One card-style insurance card will be issued to each insured to prove that you are a member of the medical system for the elderly.Be sure to show your health insurance card when you receive medical treatment at a hospital.
Insurance fee
Insurance premiums will be charged to each insured person.The amount of insurance premiums varies depending on the income of the person and the household members.
Insurance benefits (when sick or injured)
Bring your health insurance card and receive medical treatment at a hospital that handles insurance medical treatment.Medical expenses paid at hospitals and other counters are 1% or 3% (own expense).The remaining 9% or 7% will be paid by the wide-area union.
