If you become pregnant, please submit a pregnancy report at the Health Division of the Health and Welfare Center.We will give you a Maternal and Child Health Handbook, a Pregnant Woman / Infant General Health Examination Sheet, and a Pregnant Woman Dental Health Examination Sheet.The Maternal and Child Health Handbook is required for health checkups and vaccinations for pregnant women and infants.

You can get the Maternal and Child Health Handbook even after giving birth.

General health checkup for pregnant women

Pregnant women who have been issued a Maternal and Child Health Handbook can undergo a maternity checkup 14 times during pregnancy (up to 5 times if there are multiple births) at medical institutions and midwives in Chiba Prefecture.

Dental maternity medical examination

Pregnant women who have been issued a Maternal and Child Health Handbook can receive a free dental examination at a cooperating medical institution in the city once during pregnancy and once every less than one year after giving birth.

Infant health check

You can get a free health checkup at your local medical institution twice between the ages of 2 months and under 1 year old.The consultation slip will be given with the Maternal and Child Health Handbook.

In addition, health checkups for 4-month-old children, 1-year and 6-month-old children, and 3-year-old children are conducted in groups at the Health and Welfare Center.Information is sent to eligible children.The staff of the Health Division of the Health and Welfare Center will visit the families of children who have not undergone a group health checkup to hear about their children.

Congenital hip dysplasia screening

Children who are worried about hip dislocation due to the results of the general health checkup for infants and their daily routine can be examined at a cooperating medical institution.For children 3 to 7 months old (until the day before 8 months).Free consultation tickets are distributed at the time of birth registration and are also given to you at the Health Division of the Health and Welfare Center.
